Lynsey and William both travelled up from Derbyshire for their wedding at Balgonie Castle, the weather was horrendous with rain all day and very windy but they did not let this spoil their big day. After a few issues with the Ring Bearer (owl) landing on lit candles in the practise run and taking off with the rings during the service and the rain putting an end to anything outside with regards photography, we made our way to the reception having to keep all photos inside. You were both fantastic sports, not letting the weather ruin an amazing day and you both kept smiling… I hope you have an amazing life together guys, and your smiles would lighten up any room, anytime.

Today was a trip to the home of golf up at St Andrews to photograph Lynn and Mike’s wedding, the venue was the college halls which is part of the ancient university. We all had a fantastic day, weather held although a bit blustery it settled. I was heading home just prior to the meal but decided to check with the couple that if I stayed and the wind dropped slightly would they be interested in heading to the Golf Course for a few photos on the famous 18th fairway to which they agreed and I feel was just worth it. The couple were amazing, and family and friends were so much fun, and welcoming it was hard to peel myself away and head home. I sincerely wish you both the best in your married life and hope you have many many years of happiness together. Thank you for a lovely day xx

A 2 day notice for Carrie and Paul’s wedding, which has to be the shortest notice ever for me. Carrie and Paul were due to marry on Aberdour beach in December but due to the horrendous weather we had they had to cancel. Their wedding took place at the amazing Dunfermline city chambers, I just love this venue. It was a very intimate wedding with just a few family members and around an hour for photos but we got everything we needed. I wish you both the best of luck for the future guys, and remember give me a shout if you go ahead with the beach blessing in the summertime.

An amazing ongoing session from Bump to Birth to 1 that we are doing for the Auld Family, shes is so gorgous and parents are so proud.

Bumbs and Babies.

An amazing wedding with a great Kenyan theme, especially when the Brides family got up in the church to perform a traditional song and dance to welcome Gavin into the family, I dont think i have ever seen anything like this before but it was just fantastic. The Dean Park Hotel did the couple proud too with an amazing table layout, the cake was stunning and the buffet area all laid out with sweets and candy, again a tradition. Gavin and Maggie, i wish you both the best for the future xx.

Valerie and Joe’s wedding was at Dunfermline Abbey, this was a first for me but wow, what a setting, and the wedding performed just in front of Robert the Bruce’s tomb, which was just surreal, a great couple with the groom just full of hilarity, having not met him prior to the wedding, he and his best men insisted each one of them was groom, till cunningly asking who had the rings and betting the best man would I managed to narrow it down. Valerie looked stunning in her dress and Joe just cool. It was really nice to come away from kilts for a change. Oh and what a cake, I have seen some amazing wedding cakes but this was just spectacular.

A great day up at the GilvanBank Hotel, where I always feel most welcome to do what we want with regards to photos, Mike is just a top top wedding coordinator. Susan and Davids wedding was just amazing, so much fun and hilarity (we wont mention the 50p pieces under the brides heels to stop her sinking into mud ). We then headed down to the town park in Glenrothes for their own personal photos which worked out brilliant. Now we look forward to a “trash the dress” session when the weather turns rotten again at Susans request. Many thanks for booking me for your lovely day and a couple of good friends made that day. A lovely wedding at the Dunnikier House Hotel in Kirkcaldy, with a wonderful bunch of family and friends, and children who were so happy to be photographed. Robbie and Carole were stars on the day, the weather was stunning and extremely hot, but still they put up with my authoritative ways to ensure photos were captured, although I wont mention some of the names I was called , all in jest though. A perfect day for a wedding at Balgonie Castle then onto the Kingswood Hotel for the reception. Leanne and her family are friends of mine so it was a privilege to be asked to photograph their big day, the children were just amazing and not camera shy at all which really helps. Balgonie castle is one of the best venues although the chapel room is very low light, it makes for some amazing photos. A wonderful Saturday wedding at the Bay Hotel in Kinghorn, one of my favorite venues for the view and the professionalism shown on the day by everyone. Karen and Scott booked me months ago and after a great visit to Karen’s house for the bridal preps it was a fast drive through to Kinghorn. All the family and guests made me feel so welcome and we had some great laughs, the kids were just fantastic and happy in front of the camera and the weather threatened but held out.
